B&W PHOTOS, ADS… AND AN ITALIAN CLASSIC CAR

The latest Lancia Y’s advertising campaign wins the non-driver audience attention prize (that’s my case)! Just a series of large b&w posters depicting famous photographers or photojournalists (ex: Spencer Platt, 2006 World Press Photo of the Year) engaged in self-portraiting. A very simple & familiar idea. Every photo artist maintains his own personal style. People walking through subway stations stop in front of the posters. At the beginning passengers don’t understand: <What’s the product they want to sell me?>. Only a couple of seconds later people notice Lancia’s logo… [pics taken with my new FujiFilm X30]
