I took this series of shots during the first day of Bellinzona Blues Sessions 2018. Waiting for the performances on the main stage (Band of Brothers with friend drummer Rocco Lombardi and Nico Duportal & His Rhythm Dudes) I spent the late afternoon taking street shots of lovely people dancing, chatting and eating in the “village” organized in the Bellinzona’s main square. On the secondary stage, “aperitif stage,” I shot Swiss band JC Harpo & Ardy Blues Band. It was an opportunity to test my new Olympus Zuiko 30mm f3.5 MACRO. ENJOY!
Joe Valeriano’s Lonesome Road promotional photo session in Milan Porta Genova, mid May 2015. “Gooddamn right, friend, you got the Blues!” [Nikon 1 J2]
A b&w shot (in the style of 1970s rock music photography) for the homepage of Joe Colombo’s new website. Slide guitar, high energy performances and… a raw portrait.
When the Blues was born all the bluesmen’s world was in b&w. I chose a sharp b&w and an old railway wall for this shot. Joe Valeriano‘s Lonesome Road is only beginning and my camera captures his first step.
For Joe’s interview see INDIANA MUSIC MAGAZINE‘s latest issue. [Cover shot taken with Nikon 1 J2; second page shot taken with Sony α 3000]
