AMARCORT FILM FESTIVAL 2022 FINALIST

OFFICIAL SELECTION AND FINALIST, Amarcort Film Festival 2022, “Gradisca” category

La rinascita di Eva directed by Matteo Ceschi e Federico Ramponi

ACTOR: Emma Benini; MUSIC: Francesco Farias – Rec In Pause Records; PRODUCER: Saretina 152

Eva’s steps mark a path of transformation and rebirth, a quest that leads the individual to fully recognize her/himself and leave behind other people’s expectations.

Upon her arrival, Eva moves away from everyday life and from the bias of those who wish her to be another person. Eva seeks the generous embrace of the sea and the night, full of possibilities. She emerges from the waves as a goddess. The past remains but does not resist the force of the present. Eva is back.

Inspired by Federico Fellini’s imagery, the short film by Matteo Ceschi and Federico Ramponi explores the concept of hospitality through the inclusive lens of Fellini’s and international cinematography (George Romero, Stanley Kubrick, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Jean-Luc Godard, John Carpenter, Quentin Tarantino). La rinascita di Eva develops all the suggestions of the black and white aesthetics so dear to Matteo Ceschi, a photographer who built his international reputation on a no-compromises monochrome art.

Welcome and hospitality as a 360 ° experience such as only the Romagna Riviera can offer its visitors: in one word, welcoming as inclusion. A concept of welcome and hospitality preserved during the decades has been able to embrace local historic traditions and artistic suggestions. A full experience means transformation: Eva’s ritual can also becomes our ritual, letting us discover new horizons.
